Level 80 Yet?

Well it has been a good couple of weeks now since the launch of WotLK, a few people scurried away to hit 80 quickly and others are taking a bit more time to get there.

Nax 10 was our first foray as guild into the new raiding. I have to say that even at this point, the people who have been at lvl 80 longest are not really prepared for this either. The stats are posted online for people to see. Looking at how we faired I have to say, heroic, Heroic, HEROIC. Emblems and gear needed for all.

I know some people have been heroic'd to death, but remember how long it took in BC to get your raiding gear and the badge runs etc. There is no quick solution but to grind I am afraid.

Well Wrath of the Lich King is upon us, what you don't know what it is......shame on you, go to your room.

People have already started lvling up to 80 and running the first new instances. Looking at some of the initial blue drops from the bosses, some of these are already almost T5 equivalent.

If people still want to raid then we are quite happy to schedule existing raids in when needed, obviously we need enough people wanting to do them though. I will admit it would be nice to keep 1 raid a week running just for the fun of it and keep everybody practised and up-to-speed and also ensure they know their new talents ready for future raids.

Let us know how you would like to play and we can look to organise around this.

We have started to get more organised and things are progressing nicely. As I type this 3/5 in Mount Hyjal and 3/9 in Black Temple, well done to everybody involved. It is a fact of life that not everybody will get into the 25 man raids, please don't be despondent, we will try to rotate people where we can. And if you sign up, keep yourself available in case somebody needs to leave or cannot start for any reason.
Things are a lot easier than they used to be so no reason why we cannot complete Mount Hyjal and then Black Temple. When Black Temple is cleared........roll on Sunwell Plateau............

Well it has been 1 month since the guild was setup, happy birthday us.
One month is not a long time but we have now ventured into Mount Hyjal. Rage Winterchill was a one shot, nice work folks. We will need a bit more coordination before pushing forward with other bosses so new officers have been assigned to help coordinate raids, gratz to those guys.
Black Temple is scheduled for Sunday 26th, make sure your ready please.
Well done to all so far lets keep up the good work and focus on those bosses.

The guild is now a couple of days over 3 weeks old and things are starting to take shape. It would be good to have people signing up to raids faster so we could look to run them more frequently, it is why we are here after all.

To recap so far, Kara is on farm (3 groups last week), Gruul & Maggy down also. Zul'Aman is yet to be cleared but 4 bosses down by more than 1 group and looking for a clear this week.

Topping it off Lurker and Void Reaver in SSC and TK respectively have been downed with a very good attempt at Solarian (now people know what to expect, much easier). Gratz to the T5 winners this time around.

Just to wet everybody’s appetites, we are making our first venture into Mount Hyjal on Sunday 19th to take down Rage Winterchill. I personally love this fight but it can be a very long one so be prepared. Mount Hyjal is a T6 raid so please don't be disappointed if we wipe a few times, even the trash are hard although Blizz's 30% reduction will help.

On the whole we are not doing too badly for a new guild and people are starting to fall into place and work together. Congratulations to all and lets get some more bosses under our belt.

Healers Apply Within

It has now been 17 days since the inception of the guild. Yes that’s right only a little over 2 weeks old.

We have almost everything we need with the exception of healers. We have enough but only just and need more to be online more frequently. We can run a 25 man raid as we have proved but it requires everybody to be present, we really do need some more. So if you know good healers get them to apply.

It would also be good to have a couple of shadow priests, it would help with mana regen enormously whilst adding some good dps.

10 days have passed in this desolate ravaged land, with guild after guild falling by the way side there is one shining beacon of hope on the Wildhammer realm. Renaissances, led by an almighty warlock feared by all who come before her! Eynia is her name and her demonic magic and cruelty has led many men asunder in the vain hope of favour with the queen. Prey if you are ever brought before this almighty foe that you will walk away alive, and beware if she laughs, you will be seduced to smile, nay to laugh also and your doom is neigh!

Ok on a serious note it is now 10 days since the inception of the guild, we are now 60+ members with only a few more needed to fill raiding roles. We have so far completed 2 runs of Kara with another 2 scheduled. If any guild members would like another run scheduled in, let an officer know and it can be added to the calendar. If you need badge gear, these runs are perfect for you so get yourself signed up. It would be nice to see a race between 2 teams on Wednesday for a bit of competitive spirit.

The gossip on the server is that a lot of established guilds are starting to struggle with raids, we aim to buck this trend and would like to see as many people as possible sign up. We are starting it off taking it easy with Gruuls Lair & Magtheridon, hopefully a one shot kill on both, if you have not been before, a quick search online will show you what to expect. If all goes well we will look to take down the reaver in Tempest Keep. So read up, be ready, know your game and sign up.

Following on we then have SSC. This is where we start getting serious about raiding and progress. DKP came out as the favourite method for scoring people and for awarding gear and the website has been updated to reflect this, notes and rules have been posted on the forum to this effect.

5 Days Strong

Well, we are 5 days into the guild and 30+ people have bitten the bullet and signed up.

Obviously with such a young guild it will take some time to bed everything in and settle down into a regular routine.

It would be good if guild members could start running heroics with other guild members, playing together is not only what the game is about but it helps enormously when you know the play style and characteristics of other players in the team.

We have started scheduling the 10 man raids already and everybody should register on the website and get themselves signed up to one, we obviously want as many quality people as possible as we really do need at least 25 permanent online members to make raiding a guild only regular occurrence.

There is a guild meeting tonight where you will be able to voice your opinion and help with the formation of guild rules and guidelines. All ideas and suggestions are welcome, we do not want to be elitist, we want this to be a place where you can feel proud that you are part of something which has direction and is going somewhere.

So in these initial evolutionary stages please bear with us as things do take time to crystalise into a solid core. We aim to be one of the most fun and enjoyable raiding guilds on the server, fun on the outside, chewy on the inside with enough grit and determination to take us through to the endgame of both Burning Crusade and Wrath of the Lich King.

Thank you all for joining so far and we hope you will be very happy with your new extended family, help make this your home, not just a nice place to visit.
